MUTANT - BIGGEST DOWNLOAD OF 2009
Mutant Chronicles has become the biggest download of the year on some platforms and across all VOD boxes the film has done exceptionally well. The film opened theatrically in the US, followed by VOD and then a sci fi channel screening in July where the movie scored the highest ratings for a movie premiere for four months.

LIGHTHOUSE DP TONI IMI Bsc DIES
Toni Imi Bsc, Director of Photography on Simon’s first feature LIGHTHOUSE and many other films has died. Simon comments, “He was a true gentleman, a great DP and a legend in the film industry. It’s really sad news and a real loss to the industry.” Check out his amazing body of work HERE
SAFEHOUSE ANNOUNCED!
DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD today announced the exciting news - Simon’s next movie is to be the horror / thriller movie SAFEHOUSE.
Speaking in London Simon commented; “Safehouse is a terrific project, a totally entertaining movie with a fresh angle - we start pre-production this fall with shooting in South Africa in the Spring of next year. This movie is an entirely different project for me. It’s very realistic, shot on location, full of jumps and scares. Its going to be great and I am so excited to working with Lena, (Headey) Michael (Ironside) and such a tremendous cast.“

LENA HEADEY JOINS SAFEHOUSE
Actress Lena Headey has signed on for Simon’s next movie SAFEHOUSE.
Staring in a wide range of films from 300 to THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, British actress, Lena is an extremely in demand star and she joins a growing list of familiar faces on the project.

Simon is presenting his popular lecture “Directing your first feature” again this Summer. The course is a weekend long and deals with all the pitfalls, problems and excitement of making and directing your first feature. Simon draws on his long experience of making films at all budget levels to show you how to complete a 90 minute feature with what ever budget you can get your hands on!

MICHAEL IRONSIDE JOINS SAFEHOUSE
Michael Ironside has is to join the cast of SAFEHOUSE - Michael has key enjoyed key roles in movies like TOP GUN, TOTAL RECALL and STARSHIP TROOPERS. He joins a growing cast for Simon’s next movie which starts pre-production in the Autumn.
SIMON BOWLES TO DESIGN SAFEHOUSE
One of Britain's most respected Production Designers, Simon Bowles (right) is to join the cast and crew of SAFEHOUSE. Simon Bowles’s first big design movie was Simon Hunter’s first feature ‘LIGHTHOUSE’ back in 2000.
Simon has since worked on a vast number of successful and stunningly realized projects, such as DOOMSDAY, DOG SOLDIERS, THE DESCENT. Simon’s latest work is the BBC Saturday night action series, THE DEEP, where he worked along side Mutant visual effects supervisor Simon Carr.

FULL MOON FEVER - SIMON ATTACHED
Simon has been attached to the graphic comic novel FULL MOON FEVER, Produced by Stephen L'Heureux of Solipsist films in Los Angeles, the movie tells the story of a group of plumbers who whilst fixing a leaking pipes on a moon-base, encounter a group of angry werewolf's! “It’s a real high concept fun movie” reports Simon, “think of it as Dog Soldiers in space!”
