MUTANT - BIGGEST DOWNLOAD OF 2009
Mutant Chronicles has become the biggest download of the year on some platforms and across all VOD boxes the film has done exceptionally well. The film opened theatrically in the US, followed by VOD and then a sci fi channel screening in July where the movie scored the highest ratings for a movie premiere for four months.

VIDEO - SIMON SPEAKING AT THE ANNUAL RAINDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

SIMON SHOOTS YOUTHNET CAMPAIGN FILM
Simon has just completed shooting on a film for Youthnet, an organisation that helps young people with a wide range of difficult and challenging issues.
“ It was a very pleasant experience,” reported Simon, “ great charity and really brave individuals that we interviewed, it was important to have the smallest crew we could possibly have to make the interviewees feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

SIMON DIRECTS HIS OWN OBITUARY!
Simon has teamed up with producing partner Tim Dennison to direct Andy Brigg’s screenplay, THE OBITUARY. The story tells of a series of murders that are foretold in the obituary columns of the daily newspaper. Tim Dennison will produce with as yet unconfirmed international co-producing partner.

LET ME DIRECT! NEW DATES - 24 / 25th MARCH 2012
LET ME DIRECT is a full on two day course using examples of Simon’s and other directors work - showing you how to make and direct your first feature film. The lecture is run by the RAINDANCE film festival and details for the new upcoming lecture can be found by click HERE!
SIMON SIGNS WITH CASK PRODUCTIONS, SCOTLAND
Simon has recently signed for CASK productions in Glasgow as a commercials director. Cask is an innovative new production company specialising in commercials and documentary production. You can visit their web site HERE.
Simon is in talks about helming the graphic novel LAST BLOOD. The film produced by Christian Arnold-Beutel of IRONCLAD fame will provisionally shoot in the Summer of next year. These are early stages and more details will be announced soon.

BREAKING - LAST BLOOD - VAMPIRES AND MORE!
SAFEHOUSE CANCELLED
Sadly SAFEHOUSE has been cancelled. “The writer never really saw eye to eye with the producer and that became a problem. It’s a shame as they had a good project but you always needs team players.” says Simon.
EIS OPENS ON SIMON’S PASSION PROJECT EDIE
The EIS (Enterprise Investment Scheme has just opened on Simon’s passion project EDIE. This is a chance for all UK tax payers to invest in Simon’s next movie. “This is a small beautiful, character based drama” reports Simon. “Set in Sutherland it tells the story of an old lady who at the age of seventy five decides to climb a mountain for the very first time.” If your interested in investing (minimum amount is £25,000 then please email one of the producers HERE.
SIMON SIGNS FOR PORTFOLIO FILMS IN DUBAI
Simon has just signed for commercial representation at Portfolio films in Dubai. This increases his commercials directing presence to the Middle East.
Simon comments, “I am delight to get represented
by Portfolio. They have a small but select group of
directors and we each provide different skill-sets so
it’s a good fit for me and for them. I’m really excited
to get my first job in Dubai.”

CHILD ABUSE - HARD HITTING COMMERCIAL - SIMON DIRECTING
Simon has just started work on a hard hitting commercial for the Belguim Government for child abuse. “Just a lovely, powerful and deeply sad film. I am off to Brussels at the end of this month to start work. Really lovely film I just want to make sure I do true justice to it. We will have it on this site at the end of March.”
The Belguim production company is DENZZO, Brussels.
