FEBRUARY DVD RELEASE DATE FOR MUTANT IN UK
Mutant will be released on DVD in the UK following its wide theatrical run in February 2009. CLICK HERE to buy a copy.
SPECIAL EDITION DVD ANNOUNCED
Mutant will be released on region 1 DVD as a special delux edition. This will feature the new cut of the movie, a slightly remixed soundtrack, a feature length ‘making of ‘ documentary, commentary tracks, a green-screen version of the movie, deleted scenes, trailers, the mood piece funding film and much, much more!
MUTANT HITS BLOCKBUSTER IN UK
Mutant has hit Blockbuster stores across the United Kingdom. Check out the movie now. In two weeks time the DVD will be on sale with additional features. Head to BLOCKBUSTER for details.
MUTANT CHRONICLES BOUGHT BY MAGNOLIA PICTURES
Mutant Chronicles will open theatrically in the United States and Canada on APRIL 24th!
“MUTANT CHRONICLES is a blast,” said Magnolia Pictures President Eamonn Bowles. “It’s an action-packed thriller with a dynamite cast and very impressive production values. We’re thrilled to add it to Magnet’s slate of quality genre pictures.”

Many of the screenings will be 2K digital projection - making Mutant Chronicles an entirely digital production.

‘DIRECTORS CUT’ OF MUTANT TO BE RELEASED!
Magnolia Pictures will be releasing the directors cut of Mutant Chronicles. This will be ready to see for the first time on HDNET in March. The directors cut of Mutant will be over eleven minutes shorter.
“Magnolia have been really great in letting me go back to the cut and removing certain sections I did not like” says Simon. This is a brand new cut NEVER before seen. “I think with the huge rush of finishing the picture we needed a few weeks of screening the movie to audiences - there were always things I did not like in the cut but I have now been able to correct this. This cut is really the movie I want people to see, fast, fun, energetic and lots of b movie fun - try and check it out on HDNET this spring” - Magnolia will also be showing this version in selected digital cinemas as well as on DVD.
SIMON SHOOTS PROMO FOR HD NET
Simon shot a several promos for HD Net in Los Angeles this January. (pictured right) In traditional Mutant style Simon was shot green screen and later composited into a miniature background. The short promos (3-5 minutes) will run on HD NET in the next two months.

NEW ONE SHEET POSTER FOR US MUTANT RELEASE
Magnolia has released the official poster for the release of Mutant in the US. The poster proudly boasts that this will be the never before seen director’s cut of the movie. CLICK HERE to download it.
“Magnolia have released a cool poster for the US market - they have also marked the poster with the correct date so that it matches the movie. Because of a marketing mistake some posters went out with the wrong century in some territories and I know that was very annoying for some fans and myself” commented Simon.

Publicity has hit over drive for the up coming Mutant Chronicles release on April 24th. Simon and Ron Perlman traveled around a host of tv studios in Los Angeles on Thursday April 2nd to talk about the movie. Look out for their interviews on Fox News, No Good TV and elsewhere!
MUTANT SCREENING FRIDAY APRIL 10th AT BIFF BRUSSELS.

CURVING IN SIMON’S NEXT PROJECT
BREAKING - details on Simon’s next project “CURVE” (press release below)
Simon Hunter (”The Mutant Chronicles”) has signed to direct indie thriller “Curve,” produced by Benderspink and Solipsist Films, which is financing. “Curve,” penned by Kimberly Johnson, centers on a young woman’s struggle to survive when she finds herself at the mercy of a psychopathic killer after taking a detour into the backwoods outside New York City. Eva Mendes was formerly attached to star.
Simon commented “It’s a really smart script and these scripts are really hard to write, great three dimensional characters and a ton of suspense, it’s a great project”
MUTANT MUSIC - SIMON TALKS AND THE SCORE IS RELEASED!

2000 PEOPLE GATHER TO WATCH MUTANT IN BRUSSELS
Simon has just attended the Brussels Film Festival - the worlds biggest fantasy film festival. Over 2000 gathered to watch Mutant and the film was a smash hit with the audience. Simon had flown in from California to introduced the movie and give a Q and A about the film.

MUTANT PREMIERE KICKS OFF IN HOLLYWOOD
The premiere of Mutant Chronicles kicked off the US release of Mutant on Tuesday April 22 in Hollywood. Ron Perlman, Anna Walton and the cast and crew of Mutant Chronicles were there.
JANE, PERLMAN, WALTON, HUNTER ATTEND FANGORIA CONVENTION
The stars of Mutant Chronicles attended the Fangoria horror convention in Los Angeles Saturday 18th April - they took part in a Q and A about the movie and signed hundreds of posters for the waiting fans.
Simon Hunter commented;
“it was great of Fangoria to invite us to the convention and it just shows what good guys both Ron (Perlman) and Thomas (Jane) are as they took a great deal of their own time to sign movie posters of the movie and talk to fans.
I should add that it was nice to see a good few people turn up with LIGHTHOUSE dvd cases and posters for me to sign!”

MUTANT - BIGGEST DOWNLOAD OF THE YEAR
Mutant Chronicles has become the biggest download of the year on some platforms and across all VOD boxes the film has done exceptionally well. The film opened theatrically in the US, followed by VOD and then a sci fi channel screening in July where the movie scored the highest ratings for a movie premiere for four months.

LIGHTHOUSE DP TONI IMI Bsc DIES
Toni Imi Bsc, Director of Photography on Simon’s first feature LIGHTHOUSE and many other films has died. Simon comments, “He was a true gentleman, a great DP and a legend in the film industry. It’s really sad news and a real loss to the industry.” Check out his amazing body of work HERE
